Personal
I was recently
awarded a medal for being a good assistant coach for my son's U7 Central
Florida United recreational soccer team.
My two older boys think the
best perk of getting a PhD is that you get a neat
hat.

I'm fortunate to be married to the
incomparable Joy Chan Tappen, M.D.
We drove from Cambridge to Florida when coming to UCF -- it was exhausting.
