Call for Special Session
Special session papers will supplement to the regular papers and be included in the proceedings of MMM 2016. Each special session should focus on a state-of-the-art research direction in the Multimedia field.
Special Session Proposal Requirements:
Usually, each special session should comprise of five papers. Please include the following information in a proposal:
- Title of the proposed special session.
- Name(s)/affiliations(s) of the organizer(s). Please also include a brief bio and contact information.
- A session abstract including significance justification and an brief overview of the state-of-the-art of the proposed title.
- List of invited papers including a tentative title and an author list. A short abstract of each paper is preferred.
Proposals are to be submitted by email to Special Session co-chairs Haojie Li and Wen-Huang Cheng using subject “MMM2016 Special Session Proposal”.
Proposals will be evaluated based on the relevance to MMM, qualification(s) of the organizer(s) and the quality of the topic/proposed potential papers. Once the proposal accepted, the organizer(s) will need to arrange the review process.
The conference will also welcome non-invited paper submissions to any special sessions. In order to ensure high quality of the conference papers, all papers submitted to special sessions will be peer-reviewed through the same process as the regular papers. If a special session has too many papers, some of the papers might be moved to some regular sessions.
