Overview:

The purpose of Eco-Sense is to minimize water consumption while utilizing low power components. The system is designed to a user's perspective that requires minimal interaction for proper operation. An environmental feedback system will be designed to monitor variables such as air temperature, humidity, pressure, rain detection, and ground moisture. Eco-Sense takes advantage of a custom made weather prediction algorithm to predict rain in the near future. The system will have to agree and follow the set regulations for the respective county governments in which the system resides. Orange and Seminole counties disallow watering between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Outdoor irrigation is also limited to one day of the week during EST and two days a week during DST.
